Andrea and Ryan’s HOT DC Wedding

If anything, Andrea and Ryan will remember that they were married on one of the hottest days in DC. Thankfully, they had their reception indoors at the Ronald Reagan Building- which is so light and airy that it feels like you are outside, but with air conditioning.

Meghan and Van engagement photos from NYC

I recently had the pleasure of “Bolt” ing up to NYC for this engagement session. Fresh landscape was a welcome change for me. I’ve shot in NYC before, but this couple really helped bring out the character of the city. My brother lives in Queens and I’m thinking there will be more trips up there to shoot. It’s such a rich visual place.

Meghan and Van are getting married soon- September!- and they are in full-swing with wedding plans. They are working with the amazing Pam Barefoot of Atrendy Wedding and lots of great stuff in store. I can’t wait to shoot this wedding!

Jenna made these adorable starfish pins for the men in the wedding party:

Their dog, Nala, played a vital role in the wedding as the ring bearer and was even able to stay through the reception (benefits of a dog-friendly venue)

There are only a few spots in the DC area that light falls so magically. This is one:

Jenna and Chad are graphic designers and they made pretty much all the paper items you will see at the wedding

Instead of a traditional band or DJ, Jenna and Chad opted for a steel drum player. He played straight through the reception.

Ashley and Matt, Part two

So, there were just so many adorable details from thsi wedding, I couldn’t resist adding some more to this post.

Ashley bought a bridesmaid dress and accessorized it with a shoulder piece she bought from ETSY:

She also handmade all the ribbons in the photo:

and wrote the place cards:

The tables were decorated with a variety of vases and flowers of all types, Georgeous:

And the spots where the children sat had a special treat. LOVE the pencils she found:
